Reflecting on a Year of Unforgettable Elopements in Northern Michigan
As 2024 unfolds, I can’t help but reflect on the incredible elopements I’ve had the honor of capturing over the past year. Each one has been unique and deeply inspiring, showcasing the love between couples and their connection to the breathtaking landscapes of Northern Michigan. Imagine saying “I do” as the sun sets over the water, surrounded by your closest family. This couple chose the stunning Lake Bluff Preserve, staying in a beautiful house for the weekend to celebrate their love. The ceremony was intimate and serene, followed by a cozy dinner with immediate family. The golden hour lighting was a dream to capture, making every moment feel magical.
A June Day at Sleeping Bear Dunes
For a couple seeking simplicity and adventure, Sleeping Bear Dunes provided the perfect setting. With just two witnesses by their side, they exchanged vows overlooking the iconic dunes. Afterwards, we spent time exploring and getting lost in the sand, capturing romantic and playful moments that felt truly timeless. The untouched beauty of the dunes provided an epic backdrop for their love story.
An All-Day Adventure on Old Mission Peninsula
This elopement was a journey in itself! Starting with a heartfelt first look and ceremony at Chateau Chantal Winery, the day unfolded into an adventure across Old Mission Peninsula. From Mission Point Lighthouse to Old Mission Flowers for a hand-picked bouquet, and even a secluded old-growth forest, the couple embraced every part of their story. The day ended with arcade games and drinks at The Coinslot in downtown Traverse City, a nod to the groom’s unique vision.
Sunset Magic at Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive
Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive never fails to amaze. This couple celebrated their love surrounded by family at the iconic Scenic Overlooks 9 and 10. The sunset ceremony was breathtaking, with Lake Michigan shimmering in the background. Afterwards, we captured inspiring images of the bride and groom with their friends, highlighting the joy of their intimate celebration.
