Kari and Ryan Adventure Session Snow Canyon, Utah
Kari and Ryan drove from their home in Los Angelos to meet me for an adventure session in Utah. Originally, we had planned their engagement session at Zion National Park, but the snow and weekend traffic made it a little less accessible. So the day before Kari and Ryan’s engagement session, I started exploring nearby state parks. About an hour from Zion, I came across Snow Canyon State Park just outside the town of St. George. Snow Canyon looked pretty small on google maps compared to other parks in Utah, but driving in I could see that you still could easily get lost. I spent the afternoon scouting out different spots. Snow Canyon was so much fun to explore with it’s slot canyons and wild Utah landscapes. It was also very private and much less touristy than other Utah parks on the weekend. Perfect!
The next day Snow Canyon did not disappoint. Kari and Ryan were so impressed with it’s sweeping views, narrow canyons, and endless red rocks to climb. Kari was wearing a beautiful black dress and sandals, but she didn’t let that stop her. It definitely helped that Kari and Ryan are rock climbers. I included a couple behind the scene shots of myself assisting the two over some pretty challenging obstacles. Kari and Ryan made perfect subjects. They seriously could be models and are always smiling, which I find very adorable. We hit it off right away. I ended up shooting until dusk, which made for some pretty dramatic photos. Even after the sun set behind the rocks, we were able to capture some incredible landscapes. Afterwards, we went to downtown St. George for some burgers and beers. Thanks Kari and Ryan for adventuring with me.
