An Epic Mari Vineyards Proposal: Kyle and Tyler’s Unforgettable Day

When Kyle reached out to plan his proposal to Tyler at Mari Vineyards, I knew it was going to be an incredible day. Mari Vineyards, perched atop Old Mission Peninsula with its sweeping views of Grand Traverse Bay, offers one of the most stunning backdrops for a proposal in Northern Michigan.

Kyle chose the Oculus, Mari’s iconic circular space where light beams down dramatically from above — and let me tell you, it was pure magic. As Kyle got down on one knee beneath the descending light, Tyler’s reaction said it all. I captured their big moment from a discreet distance, documenting the raw emotions and the gorgeous atmosphere of the Oculus.

After the proposal, we continued the celebration around Mari’s beautiful property. Kyle and Tyler enjoyed a private wine tasting experience, and we made our way to the back balcony, where the views of East Grand Traverse Bay and Bella Vista Vineyard were absolutely breathtaking. The crisp air and the glow of excitement between them made for some incredible post-proposal portraits.
