I’m so excited to share Cassandra and Andy’s gorgeous Fountain Point Resort wedding. Friends and family came from all over the country to stay at this historic Northern Michigan resort located right on the shore of Lake Leelanau. Fountain Point Resort is the perfect venue for out-of-towners planning a big Northern Michigan wedding. It’s only about 30 minutes from Traverse City and close to the epic Sleeping Bear Dunes, Lake Michigan, and wineries. It has 19 cottages and plenty of hotel rooms. Fountain Point is a gorgeous Northern Michigan wedding venue with plenty of picture taking opportunities on site. Needless to say, I’ve been pretty excited about Cassandra and Andy’s wedding.
Cassandra and Andy are a sweet and very chill couple. When Cassandra and Andy contacted me about photographing their wedding, they told me that they wanted plenty of photos of their daughter Vivian, lots of candid shots of guests having fun, and beautiful photos of the fall color. I photographed this wedding alongside the very talented photographer Cathy Fitz. I think it’s safe to say Cathy and I knocked this one out of the park. Cassandra and Andy’s ceremony was held under a towering maple that stands in the middle of the lawn. This tree was absolute magic with vivid orange, red, green, and yellow. I couldn’t have imagined a more stunning backdrop.
Two very special guests were oh-so-much-fun to photograph. Cassandra and Andy’s beautiful daughter, Vivian, got lots of love from friends and family. Vivian wore an adorable white dress just like mom. Cassandra and Andy also brought their energetic pup Bennie. He’s the boss in case you didn’t know. He helped us find the best locations for our group photos and also tried to steal the show during the ceremony.
