Northport Love Story: Carter & Margo's Engaging Journey at the Leelanau Conservancy
Let’s rewind to a magical moment earlier this month when I had the absolute pleasure of photographing the incredible couple, Carter and Margo. This love story began to bloom when they got engaged in the enchanting city of Salzburg in May of last year. And now, with Margo’s botany degree in hand, they are embarking on an exciting new chapter as they make their way north to Traverse City.
As a couple passionate about nature and botany, they sought to infuse their engagement photos with the beauty of the great outdoors. And that’s where I came into the picture, ready to capture their love story against the stunning backdrop of Leelanau Conservancy’s Lighthouse West Natural Area in Northport, Michigan.
Our adventure started in an open meadow, brimming with wildflowers in full bloom. 🌸🌼 It was as if nature was celebrating their love with a symphony of colors and fragrances – a sight to behold and a photographer’s dream!
Next, we ventured into a mossy forest that transported us to the magical realms of Olympic National Park. 🌳🌿 Sunlight filtered through the canopy, casting dappled shadows on the forest floor, adding an ethereal touch to their engagement photos.
And just when we thought the scenery couldn’t get any better, we stumbled upon a rocky shore that whisked us away to the west coast’s rugged beauty. 🌊🏞️ The crashing waves and dramatic cliffs seemed to mirror the intensity of Carter and Margo’s love.
Their favorite spot near their family home in Northport proved to be an absolute gem, and the Leelanau Conservancy’s Lighthouse West Natural Area set the perfect stage for their nature-inspired love story.
As we laughed, explored, and captured the essence of their love amidst nature’s wonders, it was evident that Carter and Margo’s journey was just beginning. Their love for each other and their shared passion for the natural world created a mesmerizing harmony that shone through in every frame.
Now, with June 2024 on the horizon, they’re eagerly looking forward to saying “I do” in the breathtaking Northport Point. 💒🌅 Their wedding promises to be an enchanting celebration of love and nature’s beauty.
