Snowy Adventures | Traverse City and Beyond
I have always enjoyed winter, especially the snow! In 2023, I’m spending my winter months in Traverse City, Michigan. In years past, I left during the slow season to travel the country and abroad. Although I love photographing new places, it has been really grounding for me to stay put in Northern Michigan. I have enjoyed a slower pace which has given me a chance to teach yoga and spend time with my friends and family. So many of my favorite people are right here in the Mitt!
Even if you are not a fan of snow, Traverse City is a pretty cool place to be. We have a lot of great places to eat, yoga studios, hiking trails, and we even have an awesome climbing gym. So it’s not hard to find an adventure. Which is good because we actually haven’t gotten a lot of snow this winter (but it is in the forecast!!!)
I thought I would celebrate the impending snow by sharing some of my favorite all-time winter photos. I have captured couples all over Northern Michigan (yes, Sleeping Bear Dunes!). One of the highlights of my last winter in Northern Michigan is capturing Wesley and Kat’s snowy proposal at Crystal Mountain. I have also photographed an elopement on a frozen lake in Colorado, snowy hikes in the rocky landscape of Utah, a mountaintop wedding in Iceland, and this year I get to document a ski wedding at Mammoth Mountain, CA.
Check out some of my favorite snowy captures below! If you are in love with snow as much as I am, message me to plan your winter adventure today.
